Message Wales (formerly Ignite) works with local churches to bring The Message’s dynamic mix of creative mission, community transformation and Christ-centred enterprise to Wales.
One of the hallmarks of The Message from day one has been its commitment to taking the message of Jesus into high schools.
Eden started in Manchester in 1997 when a bunch of pioneers moved onto a tough estate to support a group of young people who had just become Christians. Eden Tremorfa is the first Eden project in Wales.
Cardiff has more licensing capacity than anywhere else in the UK and on the weekends tens of thousands of peoples are partying in pubs, clubs and bars. With a rugby match or concert at the Millennium Stadium, numbers of revelers are sometimes measured in the hundreds of thousands! Cardiff Street Pastors is managed by Message Wales
Imagine young people from some of the hardest-to-reach communities stepping on board a double decker bus and becoming speechless as they look around at the facilities on offer…The Eden Bus partners with local churches in areas of deprivation to bring the love of God to young people and the wider community.
In Matthew 5, Jesus talks to his disciples about ‘putting the lamp on a stand’. Here in Wales we never want to forget that we are all about proclaiming the good news of Jesus. All our ministry areas and projects will have this at the heart.
We know that young people love to get together, join a crowd and have new experiences. So each term Message Wales will host at least one major event with amazing music, powerful stories, incredible lights and sounds, and most importantly, gospel preaching expecting a response.
