Story Mission may be over but the journey continues

The 'Story' events week has now passed...   The students and Cardiff team are still recovering from the physical exhaustion of the week... And yet wonderfully things continue! Story - A week of Mission across the universities of Cardiff

Owen Brown UCCF overseer for the Cardiff universities after one night of mission (starting 14th November) said "Wonderful start to the week's lunch time events at Cardiff University. For the first time in several years the CU has returned to hosting these events in the Student Union. We had no flyers so we made makeshift ones on paper plates!" Could you help the TAV centre get some much needed funding? The TAVS centre based in Roath, Cardiff works with the homeless and most vulnerable people in our society. Throughout the week there are an increasing number of activities taking place including hot food, TAVS bakery, TAVS choir, TAVS bakery, weekly winter night shelter etc etc as well as hot food and a clothes store. Getting evangelical about the Great Commission

The Evangelical Alliance is preparing to launch its Great Commission evangelism website on 26 October to help Christians share their faith, and to inspire people that Jesus is changing lives in the UK today. New video stories will be released each week on the site (greatcommission.co.uk), sharing how people have come to faith in Jesus across the UK. Arriving early to church on Sunday morning to beat the city centre traffic many of us went outside to watch the runners as they passed our church. Amazing Grace Space - Event proves a great success

Amazing Grace Space launch event on September 23-24 proved a great succes. Over 150 people came to see the unit which was in the car park of St Paul’s Church. Bishop Richard spoke on the Friday and said, “talking about working together is not the same as actually working together”. The church needs to work together to support the most vulnerable in our city. In the light of the recent murders in the city centre of Cardiff it is a great time to reflect on the amazing work done by Street pastors in towns and cities across Wales. Every year Cardiff Street Pastors have an annual event to highlight their work in the Capital city and to raise much needed funds for the work they do throughout the year. Koreans visit Wales to give thanks for the life of Robert Jermain Thomas

During this month (September 2016) and next (October) Wales will be visited by a number of Koreans coming to say thank you to Wales for sending them a missionary who was martyred for his faith, but who many Koreans see as the first seeds of the good news of Jesus coming to Korea. The man in question is Welshman Robert Jermain Thomas. He answered a call to ministry but, for him, it was to be the mission field. He went with the London Missionary Society to China. Record 271,000 attend Alpha course in 2015

A record number of people attended an Alpha course last year.Across around 9,000 churches, 271,000 took up invites from friends or churches to take part in the eleven week series.The course, which was created out of Holy Trinity Brompton, gives people a basic introduction to Christianity and an opportunity to come to faith.It includes food, a talk and discussion in small groups.
