Children’s Worker Part Time - DCF Church Cardiff

We are an evangelical charismatic church in the north west of Cardiff, and looking for a part time Children's worker.

This is a new position and gives an exciting opportunity to shape and develop an effective children's ministry, working with the existing team of enthusiastic volunteers.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for Jesus, and who loves working with children. Initially the role will focus on children up to aged 11.

Salary: £10 per hour

Hours: Part-time (Minimum of 15 hours per week)

Type of contract: Fixed term up to one year initially, with potential to extend after review


There is a genuine occupational requirement for the successful applicant to be a committed Christian, whose lifestyle is consistent with the values and doctrine of the Christian faith. It will be necessary to work on Sunday mornings.

The Beacon Centre is a not-for-profit community centre in the heart of one of the most deprived areas of Cardiff. Operating with an inclusive ethos based on the Christian faith, the Beacon Centre Trust is currently seeking a secretary to help us administer our meetings.

Supporting the Chair, you will be responsible for keeping accurate records of our discussions and decision making processes, as well as distributing minutes and supporting documents to all trustees.

Trustees currently meet monthly at the Beacon Centre on weekday evenings. Although there is no requirement for the successful candidate to identify as a Christian, you will be expected to respect the Christian faith, which forms the basis of our governance.

To ensure that committee meetings are properly administered.


  •  Plan and prepare the committee meetings and the AGM with others as appropriate.

  •  Minute committee meetings or ensure that another minute taker is available.

  •  Accurately record decisions and actions in the minutes.
