Net Cardiff needs your help - Internet informations updates

Could you help The Net Cardiff and Net Wales keep the website up to date with data entry of informaition for the site

This will include:

Entering date for events across Wales

Updating information for the site

Searching for potential updates for the site

Liasing with the site coordinator

This would probably take on average 2-3 hours per week once you have trained. You will need to have access to computer with connetion to the internet.

If you have experince of working with websites this would be an advantage but not necessary.

The Beacon Centre is a not-for-profit community centre in the heart of one of the most deprived areas of Cardiff. Operating with an inclusive ethos based on the Christian faith, the Beacon Centre Trust is currently seeking a secretary to help us administer our meetings.

Supporting the Chair, you will be responsible for keeping accurate records of our discussions and decision making processes, as well as distributing minutes and supporting documents to all trustees.

Trustees currently meet monthly at the Beacon Centre on weekday evenings. Although there is no requirement for the successful candidate to identify as a Christian, you will be expected to respect the Christian faith, which forms the basis of our governance.

To ensure that committee meetings are properly administered.

  •  Plan and prepare the committee meetings and the AGM with others as appropriate.

  •  Minute committee meetings or ensure that another minute taker is available.

Chaplaincy Volunteer Hospital Visitors Needed

The Chaplaincy Team offer at the University Hospital of Wales offer Religious, Spiritual and Pastoral Care to Patients in hospitals throughout Cardiff and the Vale. We are a team made up of seven Christian Ministers from all denominations.

In order to be able to visit as many people as possible the Chaplaincy Team is ably assisted by a team of volunteer Chaplaincy Visitors who come from many different churches in Cardiff and the Vale. However, there is always more we could do and we are very keen to increase the team by recruiting and training more suitably called and gifted people to join us. Volunteer Chaplains usually give a few hours a week (often a morning or afternoon) to visit a ward and chat to the patients. No particular experience is needed, just a warm, friendly personality and willingness to pray for patients if asked. 

We are looking for people to visit all the Cardiff and Vale hospitals, and also Velindre Cancer Centre in Whitchurch.
